Die Anna Amalia und Goethe Akademie zu Weimar wurde 2006 von Dr. Ettore Ghibellino als freie Forschungseinrichtung ins Leben gerufen. Schwerpunkt ist die interdisziplinäre Erforschung von Leben und Werk von Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832) und Herzogin Anna Amalia von Sachsen-Weimar und Eisenach (1739-1807) durch Tagungen, Vorträge, Kolloquien und Seminare im Bereich der Biographik, der Residenzforschung, der Mikropolitik, der Psychoanalyse, der Geschlechterforschung, der Geschichte der Spionage und der Kunsttheorie. Unterstützt wird die Akademie durch den Anna Amalia und Goethe Freundeskreis e.V. als literarischer Gesellschaft. Dokumentiert werden die Tagungen durch Publikationen. Darüber hinaus werden in Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Bildungseinrichtungen internationale Tagungen zu Fragen, Problemen und Phänomenen aus dem Bereich von Kunst, Wissenschaft sowie Zeit- und Gegenwartsgeschichte konzipiert und umgesetzt.

The Anna Amalia and Goethe Academy at Weimar was founded in 2006 by Dr Ettore Ghibellino as a free research institute. Main field of attention is the interdisciplinary research of live and oeuvre of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832) and Duchess Anna Amalia von Sachsen-Weimar und Eisenach (1739-1807) by means of congresses, conferences, lectures, workshops and colloquiums in the field of biographic, psychoanalysis, court residence, micro-politic, gender studies, history of espionage and theory of arts. Academy work is supported by the literary society Anna Amalia und Goethe Freundeskreis e.V. Proceedings are documented through papers in our publishing house Dr A. J. Denkena Verlag. Additionally we conceive and implement in cooperation with different educational institutions international congresses highlighting issues, specific problems and phenomena related to art, science as well as contemporary history.
