Archäoastronomie wird gemeinhin mit vorgeschichtlichen Bauten verbunden — doch was, wenn dieses uralte Wissen auch beim Bau des Römischen Hauses im Park an der Ilm (1791–1798) angewendet wurde? Dr. Ettore Ghibellino untersucht erstmals die astronomische Ausrichtung dieses von Johann Wolfgang von Goethe gestalteten Gebäudes.
Archaeoastronomy is usually associated with prehistoric structures — but what if this ancient knowledge was also applied to the Roman House in the Park on the Ilm (1791–1798)? Dr. Ettore Ghibellino examines for the first time the astronomical orientation of this building designed by Goethe.
